MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART - SAN DIEGO - VIVA LA REVOLUCION SHOW

We took a work field trip yesterday and caught this show. It was pretty awesome seeing some of my favorite artists stuff up close and personal. I now, I know, this show has been up for a few months now but I just couldn't get around to it. Either way glad I caught it before it goes down on the 2nd of January. If you haven't seen it, do it! There are a few Banksy piece's and Faile pieces that they wouldn't allow me to photograph ??? Oh well. Here are the photos, enjoy...

P.S. We also took a stroll down to JETT Gallery and caught the last day of my buddy Neko's show, I've also attached some photos of his work.

THE RON ENGLISH SHOW AT OCC

OK, first off, you need to go check this show out. As an artist, I was blown away at the detail and skill this dude posses. He's got mad skill as a fine artists and makes it even cooler by mixing it with pop culture. I've always known about him, but now, I am truly a fan. I can only hope to be as good as him one day. I guess I should learn to paint first, that would probably make my drawings cooler.

But I digress, the show is up at OCC (Orange Coast College) in Costa Mesa, it isfree and it is awesome. Do it!

Here are some photos I snapped...

Here is a close up of the Hulk Baby, FYI there was also a plastic mold of it next to the painting.

The detail in this piece was amazing, but its the same in all of them really. A mix of collage work with painting over all the individual collaged pieces.

Teletubby molds, these guys are in the sunflower painting as background elements.

This is the grass from the painting above. Just to show you the detail in this piece.

All hand painted, including amazing background.

MAN NIGHT LIVE VIDEO

My buddy Ramon made this video inspired by our "Man Nights", in which a few of us get together and eat pizza rolls, beef jerky, lil beef smokies and any other manly thing you can think of and wash it down with booze. On such occasions we watch the finest movies ever made (it'll explain the ending to his video). Stay posted for the next "Man Night", we're due for one. Last one's feature film was "Over the Top" I believe the next one will feature "Maximum Overdrive".

MY NEW ROME SNOWBOARD!!!

So stoked!! My buddy hooked it up with the bro down on this set up. I finally get to shred it up with some new sophisticated gear. I was so excited that I ended up creating this pretty little layout of the goods, hahaha, I'm retarded.
